Privacy
What the site collects, who receives it, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted.

Reading the site
Hosting and protection. Cloudflare serves the site. To deliver pages and block attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the details of each request, such as the page, time and browser type. Its bot protection runs a small check in your browser and may set a cookie named cf_clearance, which is used only to tell people from bots. Cloudflare keeps short-lived technical logs. The ones for the contact form are visible to me for a few days. They record that a message was sent, not your name, email address or message.
Visit counts. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, doesn't follow you across sites and doesn't build a profile of you. I see totals per page, not individual visitors.
Language. If your browser is set to Turkish, pages that have a Turkish version open in Turkish. If you switch back to English, your browser remembers that choice in its own storage on your device. Closing the language notice is remembered until you close the tab. None of this is sent anywhere.
Legal basis: running and protecting a public website (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
The contact form
When you send a message, the form sends your name, email address, message, and the page you sent it from to a small program on Cloudflare. That program emails it to my inbox and does not store it. My inbox is Gmail, so Google stores the messages I receive.
I use your details only to reply to you. Messages stay in my inbox for as long as the conversation needs them. Ask, and I'll delete them.
Legal basis: answering a message you chose to send (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), or steps you ask for before a possible engagement (Art. 6(1)(b)).
The tools
Your data stays in your browser. The tools on serhat.bio run in your browser:
- Metric Screener: the file you upload is read and analysed in your browser. It is never sent to serhat.bio or anyone else.
- Offline Hazard Capture: what you enter is saved in your browser's own storage on your device, so it works without a signal. It is not sent anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.
- The other tools (checklists, diagnostics, sandboxes) calculate everything in the page and send nothing.
Links to other sites
Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, Amazon and others take you to sites with their own privacy terms. Nothing is shared with them until you click.
